James Hugh Calum Laurie is an English actor, musician, producer, director, and voice actor. He first became known as one-half of the Fry and Laurie double act with his friend and comedy partner Stephen Fry, as well as his work on the 1980s British comedy series, "Blackadder" while in the United States, he is most well known for his role as Dr. Gregory House in the hit TV series, "House."
For that role, he received two Golden Globe awards, two Screen Actors Guild awards, and six Emmy nominations.
He portrayed Governor David Nix, the main antagonist in Brad Bird's 2015 film Tomorrowland.
